Born and raised in Prince George’s County, Maryland, I am a proud graduate of Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt, MD. I went on to further my education at Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi, where I continued to grow in both knowledge and purpose. Today, I serve as a Licensed Natural Hair Care Educator and Specialist at The Standard Cosmetology Academy, dedicated to empowering others through the artistry, culture, and wellness of natural hair.
I Am Your Creative Braid Sculptress™️ who is also a Floetic Authored Artist Trūly just getting started watering her garden. I enjoy weaving hair into living, breathing testaments of my/our story. I sculpt braids into stories, transforming strands into living art that honors heritage, identity, and unapologetic Black beauty. Each piece I create is a statement of truth—where culture, creativity, and spirit converge. I am Trūly Rooted, my work is a sanctuary for self-expression, healing, and empowerment, inviting everyone to witness the power of braids as art, legacy, and liberation.
Through Tunisia’s Raw Lounge and the SanctuHAIRy Healing Space, I create more than art—I create safe spaces for healing, community, reclamation, and unapologetic truth-telling. Every strand I twist, every strand I braid, every sculpture I sculpt, every word I write, every space I hold carries the weight and wonder of ancestral wisdom.
My debut book, Tressed Oūt, stands as an extension of this work—a poetic autobiography and liberation text that strips away fakery and invites us back to the heart of who we are.
